BALMORAL SEWAGE
TREATMENT PLANTS
Balmoral
produce two types of sewage treatment plant as detailed below.
Continuous
Aeration Plant provides full treatment to crude sewage in
normal domestic environments.
The CAP treats sewage to a higher standard than a septic tank, but does
not offer the same degree of control available from a Sequential Batch
Reactor (SBR).
Sequential
Batch Reactors provide full biological treatment to crude
sewage in normal domestic environments.
The
Balmoral SBR treats effluent to very high standards - normally to
15mg/litre suspended solids and 10mg/litre BOD - which is suitable for
discharging directly into a watercourse.
