Biodigester
sewage treatmemt plants require no concrete surround and therefore can
reduce the installation cost. With difficult site access then a
Biodigester plant maybe a good system to consider.
The
Biodigester uses a process of aeration of a media within the plant
unit. The air is diffused from the bottom of the central
chamber. This increased oxygen supply accelerates the activity
of the naturally occurring micro-organisms which degrade the sewage to
a clear effluent and a non toxic sludge.
The
diffused air also operates as an ‘Air Lift’ which
recirculates solids from the outer ‘Settlement
Chamber’ to the inner ‘Treatment Chamber’.
