HOUSE IS NOT ON MAINS DRAINAGE ( CESSPIT?)
If
you are not connected to the main sewer then you will have one of the
follows drainage systems;-

A septic tank and soakaway (see The

A sewage treatment plant (see What
is a sewage treatment plant)

A sealed cesspool (see Cesspool)
The
term "cesspit" is often used to discribe one of the above systems and
it is important to clarify which system you have. The common term
cesspit is often refered to a tank in the garden.
We
can arrange to visit any site and survey the drainage. We can then
advise you about the operation and condition of the system, what is
your "cesspit", does it need a repair?
