HIGHWAY EXCAVATION
& ROAD OPENING ( New Roads and Steet Works Act 1991
NRSWA),
SEWER CONNECTIONS.
If
your drain
line leading from your property to its connection to the main
sewer is damaged then a Road Opening Licence will be required
to undertake the highway excavation. You are normally
responsible for this section of pipework and often the main
sewer is located in the public highway outside your property.
MTM are
Street
Works Accredited Contractors and can therefore undertake
these works on your behave or directly for your drainage
insurance company. We can carry out new sewer connections,

Road Opening
Licence to excavate in the highway normally requires a 28 day notice
period following
submission of the application. All necessary paperwork will
be carried out for you.
