DO YOU GET SMELLS FROM SEPTIC TANKS
In
an ideal world with some anaerobic biological action, a good crust
layer, regular emptying and adequately vented drainage pipe work a
septic tank should not smell.
From
our experience and with lots of variables it is not uncommon to get the
occasional unpleasant odour.
If
your tank is functioning correctly but you are finding smell problems
then we can fit airtight access covers which may resolve the issue.
If
you are purchasing a property with a septic tank then check on its
location, if it is directly under the outside patio you may have some
unpleasant surprises on that hot summers day!
